The Lab School provides a high-quality program with educational leaders in the field of early childhood education to ensure curriculum reflects the cognitive, emotional, physical and creative development of the young child.
Our goals to ensure success:
- Maintaining and increasing the expertise of staff and quality services by providing opportunities for ongoing professional development.
- Ensuring that planned learning activities and materials are appropriate to each child’s developmental stage.
- Delivering Family-Centered programming, ensuring each family’s needs, concerns and cultures are addressed and incorporated into their child’s daily activities.
Children are active participants in their daily learning experiences; learn through teachable moments, and frequent, positive interactions. Inclusive services to children of all abilities are provided so that all children participate, are accepted and development is promoted and enhanced.
The School also serves as a training facility and observational site for Broward College students preparing for careers in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, Sign Language, and other related fields.
