Classroom Experience
Our BAS in IT offers a high-tech approach to managing and ensuring the security of advanced information systems. We will instruct you on how to:
  • Engineer computer software 
  • Administer complex databases
  • Act as a network systems administrator
Class sizes are small and are taught by dedicated faculty members and adjunct instructors with experience in the field. The students you will be learning with come from all walks of life, some with experience in IT and others just starting out.

If you want to speed up the amount of time it takes to complete
your degree, you can choose fast track classes. We even make it easy for you to participate in the program if you’re a working professional, or have responsibilities at home by offering flexible class times.

Career Path
The job outlook for graduates with a bachelor’s degree in information technology is excellent. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects much faster job availability for IT specialists than in other occupations.
IT graduates have the flexibility to work in any area, whether it's a public or private organization. Upon completing your degree, you can find work in IT departments within:

This bachelor’s program in IT is designed for technical professionals who already have their two-year technical degree or are in the process of getting one. Before you apply to this program, you should complete a minimum of 15 semester hours of general education requirements.
Accreditation
Broward College's BAS in Information Technology is regionally accredited to award bachelor's degrees by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC).
Faculty
Being able to complete your bachelor’s degree in IT depends in large part on the people who teach you. The faculty and adjunct instructors that we bring aboard for this program are at the forefront of the information technology field. Courses
Completion of a BAS in Information Technology requires 120 credit hours. The curriculum culminates in a capstone project in the last semester of your senior year.
